Air Nirvana ( Got the job :P )

January 6th, 2009

After countless written tests and two interviews I finally got the job offer from Airvana ( A mobile broadband company). This was the second written test which I cleared. The interview was very simple and straight forward. You can obviously outperform when somebody asks you something from your areas of interest. Main focus during interview was IntelligentMirror and VideoCache, you can guess the rest :D

Long Time No Post , Quick Update

November 21st, 2008

I have been too busy to write a post on this very blog :) Here are quick update.

  • Released a few versions of youtube_cache in last couple of weeks. Youtube Cache now supports caching videos from 10 websites. A few ISPs are using it.
  • IntelligentMirror also received updates.
  • Placements are here. And I am still f**cking with this caching thing. Too addictive.
  • Inclination towards higher studies as more and more companies decline campus recruitment. How tough GRE can be?

Passed GSoC

September 5th, 2008

I have passed my final evaluations for my Google Summer of Code’08 project IntelligentMirror. It was fun and excitement developing the squid plugin. The best thing was I didn’t have to move to a different place or go office for working. Work at home, do what you always wanted to do (open source stuff), talk with people with similar interests(fedora people), get nice payments and have your first project released in open source domain :) That was GSoC.

Recent Happenings

May 31st, 2008
  1. Entire wifi was down for almost two hours today. Emergency situation. I called whoever I could but just wasted time and money. Wifi admin would have felt totally surprised after getting 25-30 missed calls from my number :P Pinged back after an hour and things were back in tune. Thank god!!
  2. Celebrated Yum Bug Day today. We fixed and closed a lot of bugs. Was a very good experience.
  3. GSOC project is going fine.
